Sunday Night Suppers

Sunday supper

On the third Sunday Night of each month, our congregation hosts a home-cooked supper for young adults (ages 18–39ish years old) at the church. Some are members of the congregation. Some are students at TRU. Some found us through their friends who participate or just on their own. They are united in their desire to share a meal, visit with each other, and perhaps play a game.

Through the pandemic, this meal is prepared and packaged “to go.”

Cooking of the meal begins around 5:30 pm. Some work together for that preparation.

The monthly supper starts being available for pickup around 6:30 pm — or later if it is a more complex or detailed recipe.

Young adults continue to arrive until 8:00 pm or later, showing up after work or evening commitments. Everyone is well fed. (In non-pandemic times, after supper, a dessert is served, and board games are available. Usually the evening ends around 10:00 pm, though sometimes earlier and sometimes later.)

All siblings, partners, friends, roommates, significant others, and interested persons are welcome!
